#24 Esra’s Trust
EsrasTrust.org. This site will be built up over time, but I am on the board of a non-profit trust whose sole aim was to buy a Snapdragon wheelchair from Dragon Mobility for Esra, a little girl with Spina Bifida. Here’s Dragon Mobility’s website. Basically Esra would be much more actualized if she had the tools for such, including the ability to raise and lower herself with an elevating powerchair. The purpose of the foundation was to raise money to buy her this chair, to maintain it, etc. Esra’s father works in project management, so has been able to orchestrate the whole thing flawlessly, including fundraising dinners etc. Owning a printing company and having web design skills, my job was to support the physical and virtual collateral. This will become especially important as the wheelchair is secured, and thus the goals of the group become slightly more ambiguous, i.e. supporting and maintaining Esra’s development, especially as pertains to the maintenance and eventual replacement of said chair… Esra’s mother had always kept a blog, so I figured I’d, for now, go the blogspot-as-CMS route. If you’re interested in donating, please reply here or call me, or contact the Edwards family via the email or contact methods listed on esrastrust.org.
