And if copyediting, why not incoming localization?

I’ve just been thinking, that if I go through what it takes to establish a editing company for self-publishing authors, etc., why not go after the next niche of translating foreign English into US English? Again, I’m not doing anything that would legally require I be listed as a co-author–no, mostly just proofreading things that enter the US. Because think of all the multi-million dollar products that are launched in Asia whose manuals are then released in the pidgin of non-native English? I mean, I can have a degree in Spanish Teaching, and after 20 years of teaching Spanish there’d still be no way I could get something legitimately published in Spanish. Neither can I expect even the best non-native to produce something flawlessly American unless he’s native…  And if that, why not website localization–again proofreading the US versions of foreign websites?
